Apple iPhone 18 Pro Leak Reveals New Dark Cherry Color Upgraded Camera System Expected

Leaked iPhone 18 Pro dummy units suggest Apple may introduce a new Dark Cherry color, upgraded cameras, A20 Pro chip, and satellite internet connectivity.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series is making headlines once again after new leaked dummy units revealed what could be the final color lineup for the flagship smartphone. According to recent leaks, Apple may replace last year’s Cosmic Orange variant with a brand-new Dark Cherry finish.

Images shared by well-known tipster Sonny Dickson suggest the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could arrive in four color options: Dark Cherry, Black, Silver, and Light Blue. While Apple has not officially confirmed these colors, multiple reports indicate that Dark Cherry is likely to become the signature shade of the 2026 Pro lineup.

Design Changes May Be Minimal

Reports suggest Apple will largely retain the design language introduced in previous generations. However, the camera module could become noticeably thicker.

Earlier leaks from YouTuber Vadim Yuryev claimed the camera housing on the iPhone 18 Pro Max may protrude further than before. The overall thickness of the device could increase slightly to accommodate upgraded camera hardware.

Smaller Dynamic Island Expected

One of the most noticeable design updates could be a smaller Dynamic Island. Industry reports indicate Apple may shift more Face ID components underneath the display, potentially reducing the size of the cutout by up to 35%.

Apple is expected to continue offering 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays on the Pro and Pro Max models respectively.

Major Camera Improvements

The iPhone 18 Pro lineup is rumored to feature a triple 48MP rear camera setup. The most significant upgrade may be the addition of a variable aperture system on the primary camera.

This technology would allow users to adjust the amount of light entering the sensor, providing greater control over depth of field and image quality in different lighting conditions.

Powered by A20 Pro Chip

Under the hood, the new devices are expected to be powered by Apple’s A20 Pro processor built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm manufacturing process.

Reports suggest the chipset could deliver up to 15% faster performance and approximately 30% better power efficiency compared to the previous generation.

In-House C2 Modem and Satellite Connectivity

Apple may also continue reducing its dependence on Qualcomm by introducing its own C2 modem. The new modem is expected to improve 5G speeds, power efficiency, and thermal performance.

Another notable feature under development is support for 5G NR-NTN technology. If implemented, users could potentially access internet connectivity through satellites in areas without traditional cellular coverage.

While Apple has yet to announce the iPhone 18 Pro series officially, leaks indicate that the company is focusing on camera enhancements, AI capabilities, and connectivity improvements while maintaining a familiar design language.
